Blessings of the Torah

Blessed are You, Hashem, our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and has commanded us to engage ourselves with the words of the Torah. Please, Hashem, our God, make the words of Your Torah sweet in our mouths, and in the mouths of Your entire people, the House of Israel. May we, our descendents and the descendents of Your people, the House of Israel—all of us—know Your Name and study Your Torah for its own sake.

Elohai Neshamah

My God, the soul you entrusted within me is pure. You created it, you formed it, you breathed it into me, and you safeguard it inside me. In the future you will take it from me, and restore it to me in the time to come. The entire time the soul is within me I will be grateful to you Hashem, my God and the God of my fathers, Master of all works, Lord of all souls. Blessed are you, Hashem, who restores souls to lifeless bodies.
